Your audio stays on your device
When you upload a song, the audio analysis (tempo, key, duration) runs inside your browser. The audio file itself is not sent to or stored on our servers. Only the details you type in, like the title, credits, and optional lyrics, travel to our systems to build your package.
What we collect
Your account email and sign-in details, handled by Clerk, our authentication provider. The release information you enter and the packages we build for you, stored so your work follows your account. Basic first-party usage analytics with anonymous visitor identifiers, so we can see what is working without following you around the internet.
What we never collect
No third-party advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no sale of your data to anyone. Card numbers never touch our servers: payments happen on Stripe's secure checkout and we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
Emails
We send transactional email, like your purchase delivery, through Resend. If fans leave their email on a shared release page, the address is stored for that release's interest list. ReleaseOS currently shows the artist aggregate signup counts; it does not expose those addresses or send release-day messages automatically, and we do not use them for our own marketing.
Who we share with
Only the service providers that run the product: Clerk for accounts, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and our hosting and database infrastructure. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time by writing to support@releaseos.net, and we will confirm when it is done.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the update will be reflected on this page. Questions belong at support@releaseos.net.
